Au nom du nouveau Bridge, permettez-moi premièrement de remercier les membres de nous avoir confier la gestion du club. Je désire également remercier le comité sortant Georges et son équipe, pour un excellent travail.

Un merci spécial à la Ville de Shédiac, l’Exécutif du Port de Plaisance de Shédiac Inc. et à Emery et son équipe, Sébastien, Julien, Brandon, Jean-Paul, Rhéal, Emmanuel pour le bon fonctionnement de la Marina et un travail remarquable cet été.

Il est vrai que nous joignons tous le club pour différentes raisons mais nous avons une

chose en commune…les bateaux. Certains aiment se regrouper, les partys, AGA, les

conversations sur le quai, etc…. Communément, nous apprécions tous ce que nos amis visiteurs appellent “votre splendide cours arrière” qui est celle de la Baie de Shediac avec toute sa beauté. Pour toutes ces raisons nous devons garder cet endroit sécuritaire et confortable, voilà définitivement l’importance de notre club. Les bons amis, les grands moments, les taquineries, certaines connaissances acquises sur les bateaux . Quelle que soit votre motivation, votre implication sera très appréciée!

Notre comité organisera des activités traditionnelles ainsi que quelques nouvelles idées que nous vous présenterons au cours des prochains mois. Nous voulons rejoindre tous les membres, nous avons de besoin de vos idées, votre aide et vos commentaires.

Le club organisera la première activité de la saison, le samedi 20 décembre 2008 à 19h30. Il s’agit d’une dégustation de vin et fromage au Centre d'Interprétation . Nous fournirons le divertissement, mais s'il vous plaît apporter une bouteille de votre vin préféré et un fromage qui complimente ce vin. Le Comité Social recueillera des articles non-périssables pour les moins fortunés. Merci de votre générosité!

Aloha everyone,

Firstly, let me thank the members for entrusting the running of the club to the new committee. Thank you to Georges and his team, the outgoing committee, for a job well done.

Special thanks to the Town of Shediac, the Shediac Municipal Marina Inc. Board, and to Emery and his team Sébastien, Julien, Brandon, Jean-Paul, Rhéal, Emmanuel for a great job this summer.

Please welcome aboard the new 2008-2009 Bridge of the Shediac Bay Yacht Club.

I guess that we all join the club for various reasons but with the one common thing, boats.

Some like to get together, some like the parties , the AGM, the chat on the dock etc….Commonly, we all enjoy what some of our visitor friends would call “your fantastic back yard” that is the Shediac Bay with all its beauty. For all these reasons we need to keep this summer place safe and comfortable, that is why our club is such a good thing. Great friends, good times a bit of teasing, some knowledge gained and boats always into the bargain. Whatever your motivation, we invite you to get involved.

Our committee will be organising the traditional activities as well as some new ideas that we have been talking about that will be outlined over the coming months. We are trying to cater to all of the members and would welcome feedback, support and comments.

The club will be having its first gathering for the new season on Saturday December 20th 2008 with a wine and cheese party at the Interpretation Center starting at 7.30 pm. We will provide the excitement, please bring a bottle of your favourite wine and cheese that complements that wine. The Social Committee will collect non perishable items for the less fortunate. Thank you for your generosity.
